An introductory level course that explores the art of photography, including film and basic digital image making with an emphasis on the creative process in the context of the history of photography. The elements of camera operation, film development, and composition will be learned through a series of assignments and critiques that will result in a portfolio of images presented as a portfolio at the end of the course. Students must provide their own fully adjustable (f/stops and shutter speeds) digital camera or adjustable 35 mm film camera.
