This course introduces students to the basic skills and creative process of making forms on the wheel and with hand-building techniques within the context of ceramic history and contemporary practice. The fundamentals of glazing and firing will be demonstrated and practiced. Students will complete a portfolio of finished pieces to be evaluated at the end of the semester.
