Graduation from the MSN program requires successful completion of general core courses and specialty concentration courses. The program may be completed as a full-time student taking 2 courses per term or as a part-time student taking 1 course per term. Courses are offered 100% online format.
Students apply to the MSN program, selecting a concentration and either a Nursing Education or the Nursing Leadership concentration. Graduates from the Education concentration will be prepared to take the NLN Certified Nurse Educator Exam. All students admitted to the MSN program will complete the following nursing core requirements and additional courses for their chosen concentration.
Track 3 students are required to complete a combination of undergraduate, and graduate nursing courses. All undergraduate BSN course requirements must be completed before registering for graduate courses. For undergraduate requirements, please see the RN to BSN section. Six credits of Nursing Elective courses (NR510, NR520 and/or NR530) can be applied to the baccalaureate degree.
