This course offers a general overview of various aspects of behavioral sciences as they apply to the profession of Physical Therapy. Students are introduced to the inter- and intrapersonal dynamics of working with patients/clients. Learning is facilitated by class discussions, role playing and guest speakers. Topics include conflict resolution, stress management, body image/sexuality, domestic violence, coping with death and dying, and cultural sensitivity. Prerequisites: Successful completion of all prior coursework.
